Bahri Logistics Services and the Saudi Railways Company signs contract to provide international shipping services
Riyadh: Bahri Logistics Services Sector, one of the six business units of Bahri, the world leader in the field of logistics and transportation services, has concluded an agreement for international freight services with Saudi Railways (SAR), the owner and operator of the railway networks in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which plays a role in Pivotal in building an integrated and distinguished transportation system in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The agreement, which extends for three years, was signed by Engineer Surur Basloum, Head of the Bahri Logistics Services Sector , and Engineer Salah bin Abdullah Al-Omair, Vice President of Shared Services at Saudi Railways.
(SAR) , in the presence of officials from both sides during the ceremony held on this occasion at the headquarters of SAR Company in Riyadh. Under the agreement, the Bahri Logistics Services sector is the main shipping services provider to SAR for both imports and exports.
On this occasion, Engineer Basloum said: “Since its inception, the Saudi Railway Company has played an essential role in advancing the national economy, diversifying it, and enhancing the interconnection between its various sectors. Today, we in the Bahri Logistics Services sector are proud of our strategic partnership with this prominent national company, as we will work together.” In order to provide smooth and distinguished shipping services to “SAR” and its customers in accordance with the best international standards based on the experience we have collected over the past decades.”
For his part, the Vice President of Shared Services at the Saudi Railways, Engineer Salah Al-Omair, confirmed that “SAR” is working to continuously develop its services in a way that increases the efficiency of transportation via railways, and provides distinguished services to customers on the various “SAR” networks around the Kingdom, and we look forward to investing in this partnership. To improve SAR’s services in the coming years, we aspire that this partnership will enhance business growth in the sector.
